UltraHome - UltraWater for the Whole House
The UltraHome Whole-House water filter system provides long-term protection for you and your family against hundreds of water contaminants (laboratory tested) for a full one million gallons (or 10 years), whichever comes sooner. This long-lasting feature ensures your peace of mind and the safety of your loved ones.
UltraHome filtration is a comprehensive solution that removes heavy metals, chlorine, chloramines, industrial chemicals, VOCs/SOCs, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter medications, prescription medications, VOCs, SOCs, PFAS, disinfectant by-products, and hundreds more. This thorough filtration process ensures that your water is safe and clean for all your household needs.
The UltraHome system stands out in the market with its unique selling points. The Premium UltraHome Filter System, which is at the core of our product, utilizes the same technology as the world’s best filters, UltraWater filters. This ensures that your family and pets are protected from a wide range of contaminants, setting our system apart from others.
The tanks operate in an upflow direction and therefore never require back-flushing. It also never needs regeneration or any maintenance whatsoever.
The UltraHome System Parts and Features:
1. Sediment Filter (small housing with a 10” sediment filter inside)
The sediment prefilter saves the life of the primary filters and is usually replaced yearly.
2. UltraWater Filter (Tank 1)
The UltraWater filtration in the first tank is the industry-leading method of eliminating virtually all contaminants from your water. It has been tested against over 220 common contaminants and removes them all (usually up to 99.999%). This high level of effectiveness ensures that your water is of the highest quality, providing peace of mind for you and your family.
This tank is designed to effectively filter a million gallons of water or 10 years (whichever comes first).
3. Salt-Free Softener & Conditioner (Tank 2)
The Salt-Free Conditioner Tank is optional and recommended for customers with hard water (which is most people, by the way). It can be purchased separately in addition to the UltraWater (tank 1) or on its own. The all-natural nuclear-assisted crystalization (NAC), also known as template-assisted crystalization (TAC), is a cutting-edge technology that eliminates hardness and scale buildup naturally, without using salt or harming the environment. It also retains the healthy minerals in your water.
The standard Tank 2 is meant to treat water to a hardness range of 17 to 25 grains per gallon. [Note: 25 grains per gallon is the max.]
The softening system (Salt-Free Softener & Conditioner) is:
- Eco-Friendly: No salt, electricity, or water waste.
- Saves Money: Extends appliance lifespan and reduces the need for cleaning products.
- Superior Quality: Premium USA-made NSF-certified components. EPA-certified, lab tested.
- Hassle Free: No maintenance or servicing is required.
- The system eliminates previous scales within a few weeks.
Easy Installation
Installing the UltraHome system is a straightforward job for a licensed plumber. The package comes with all the necessary instructions and parts, making the process hassle-free for you.
Replacement Filters
The only filter that needs replacing in this system is the sediment filter. After 10 years or one million gallons of water (whichever comes first), replace the whole system.
Don’t compromise! Protect your family. Improve the safety and quality of all the water in your house. And save money by saving your appliances and reducing the need for cleaning products.
Alternate Single-Tank Combo
The UltraHome Filter with Softener System Single-Tank Combo combines the UltraHome UltraWater Filter System with the UltraHome Salt-Free Softener System in a single tank. One tank means it’s compact, and it still does it all: filters out heavy metals, forever chemicals, pharmaceuticals, VOCs, and everything listed above, while also providing salt-free softening.
The most significant difference between this economical combo and the larger two-tank filter/softener systems is that this economical combo lasts approximately 5 years or 500,000 gallons of use, compared to the 10 years of use with the more extensive two-tank system. Either system offers the best filtration and natural softening in the world.
Enjoy clean, healthy, scale-free water that’s great tasting and perfect for smaller homes with hard water. With a capacity of 500,000 gallons over 5 years, it’s designed to protect your family, pets, and appliances—without breaking the bank! Eco-friendly and hassle-free, this system requires no salt, regeneration waste, or electricity. Experience better water quality today while keeping your budget intact!
The single-tank combo system is also hassle-free, has a long life, requires no maintenance, and is easy for a licensed plumber to install (just like the Tank 1 and Tank 2 systems above).
What to Expect With the Descaling Process
If you live in an area with hard water, you likely have existing mineral deposits and scale inside your pipes and fixtures. Over the first few weeks, our system will start to dissolve and detach this scale, which may come out of your faucets. This descaling process is temporary and perfectly normal, and it will gradually diminish over time, depending on the water hardness and the amount of buildup present. As descaling occurs in the first few weeks, you’ll notice a reduction in softness, especially when using hot water. You may see mineral silt in the water as the mineral scale loosens and flushes out of your system. It will range from very fine silt to pieces as large as a grain of sand. The largest pieces will build up in the aerator screens of your fixture or in your shower head. Clean aerators and shower heads weekly for as long as you notice the buildup.

Questions/Answers About the AlkaViva UltraHome System
Does the UltraHome use nuclear-assisted crystalization (NAC) or template-assisted crystalization (TAC)?
Yes. The AlkaViva UltraHome Water Softener Conditioning System uses nuclear-assisted crystallization (which is also known as template-assisted crystallization).
The AlkaViva UltraHome, particularly with its salt-free softener & conditioning system, utilizes a process that changes scaling calcium into non-scaling calcium. This process modifies the physical structure of the minerals to prevent them from adhering to surfaces and forming scale. It involves microscopic sites that cause calcium and magnesium crystals to form and then detach, remaining suspended in the water.
While some water treatment systems utilize a similar process, the AlkaViva UltraHome’s technology specifically transforms scaling calcium into non-scaling calcium without ever needing to be back-flushed. There is no maintenance whatsoever on this system, ever. The key difference is that the AlkaViva UltraHome salt-free softener & conditioning system helps restore hard water chemistry to a state of balance, rather than solely relying on nucleation sites to create seed crystals.
Where is it made?
All UltraHome Systems are made in the USA and utilize NSF-certified components.
Does the UltraHome Water System Make Clothes Cleaner?
Yes. Using the AlkaViva UltraHome, particularly with its salt-free softener & conditioning system, allows you to wash clothes better with far less detergent. The clothes are cleaner, softer, and longer-lasting.
How Does the UltraHome System Affect Your Hair?
Using the UltraHome System, particularly with its salt-free softener, makes hair and skin healthier.
Can You Clean Surfaces & Dishes Better With the UltraHome System?
Yes. All cleaning jobs are easier with the UltraHome System. The Soft Water component makes the water “wetter,” and it won’t leave a film or scale on your surfaces or dishes. It reduces your overall cost of cleaning products because you can cut the amount of product you use by half or more.
Does the UltraHome System Extend the Lifespan of Appliances?
Yes. By reducing scale, all appliances will last longer.
What are the Replacement Filter Costs?
The only filters that ever need to be replaced are the inexpensive sediment filters. These are changed normally every year. However, if your water is particularly bad (which is sometimes the case with well water), you may need to change the sediment filter every 3 to 6 months.
Is the UltraHome System Easy to Install and Easy to Use?
Yes. This system is straightforward to install, and there is no maintenance ever other than the periodic sediment filter changes (usually yearly) mentioned above.
What is the Principle Behind the Softening Technology?
The principle behind our technology’s operation is relatively simple: it converts scaling calcium into non-scaling calcium. Water becomes hard or “scaling” when the calcium and carbonic acid are out of balance. The softening media helps return complex water chemistry to a state of balance – much like in naturally soft water. As nature intended.
In other words, minerals are neutralized so they don’t stick to surfaces, and are not removed from your water using harmful chemicals.
The media is composed of inert, NSF-certified polymer beads that operate in a fluidized bed, where the beads move around and bump into each other. The surface of each inert bead resembles a mini-template of organized holes, technically referred to as “nucleation sites.” These sites act as a catalyst to change scaling calcium into nano-sized crystal structures that can readily absorb minerals, yet remain stable enough not to attach themselves to the surfaces of your plumbing or appliances. The calcium crystals eventually release from the templates into the water stream, making self-regenerating – meaning you never have to replace the media.
Nothing is added to the water. Back in the water stream, the calcium crystals become templates (or “seed” crystals) themselves, and can perform the same function as the media. This is especially important with hot-water appliances, such as your coffee maker or hot water heater, because heating water increases its scale potential. However, the seed crystals can absorb the calcium that would otherwise form scale.
So, while the media does not technically soften (i.e, remove calcium from the water), it also doesn’t come with the ongoing hassle, expense, or environmental issues that salt-softeners create. At the same time, it conditions your water to protect your plumbing and appliances. It also retains healthy minerals (softeners do not). The UltraHome Softener is eco-friendly, requires no maintenance, never needs to be replaced, and is hassle-free and cost-effective. Water as nature intended.
The process, as described above, does in fact leave the natural minerals but also physically alters them so that they cannot form scale. In fact, the system helps remove existing scale throughout your water system.
Does my water need to be tested before installation for any reason?
- If you own your home, you should already have a well report. If you don’t, you should get one.
- If you have high amounts of sulphur or iron in your water, you will need to include an Iron filter in your system. This filter should have the same life expectancy as the other UltraHome filters.
How Does the UltraHome System Compare to Other Systems?
Simple. It’s what’s on the inside that counts. Other, cheaper, and inferior systems use Granular activated carbon, essentially like what is inside a Brita filter. You can’t possibly protect yourself and your home with that!. The Premium utilizes the same technology as our industry-leading UltraWater filters, providing you with ultimate protection and peace of mind.
Our tanks operate in an upflow direction, eliminating the need for back-flushing, and are compatible with any water pressure.
Returns
If you have not used any product and have not broken the manufacturer’s seal on the box, you can return the products within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. However, the return shipping charges must be prepaid by the purchaser.
