External Supercarbon [Catalytic Carbon] Filter Super Chloramine Reduction Prefilter

The External Supercarbon [Catalytic Carbon] Filter Super Chloramine Reduction Prefilter is the most effective way to economically reduce chloramines* [and other difficult chemicals].

It contains specially designed carbon (catalytic carbon) developed by the Calgon company.

This high capacity filter has been designed for up to 1,500 gallons of use.

Prefilters need to be placed into housings. Housings are re-usable and so only need to be ordered once. You can choose the option to add a housing above. 

If you plan to use several external filters altogether, you might want to consider a double or triple housing.

*Chloramines

Chloramines are comprised of compounds containing chlorine and nitrogen, which is in almost all water at some level in the US.

While chloramination has been recommended by the EPA since the 1990s it is toxic and is best to remove from drinking water. Supercarbon is the best way to do that.
