Advanced SMPS Technology

The Vesta H2 water ionizer uses the most-advanced SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply). Other types of SMPS, used in competitors' brands of water ionizers cannot automatically adjust the power to match water conditions.

Programming the H2 Water Ionizers

H2 water ionizers (including the Melody II) work perfectly with most average water. For those who want to, though, these water ionizers are programmable. See the directions in the manual, pg. 13.

Filter-Changing Instructions

All filter systems develop a sort of suction (resisting the release of the filter). You will have an easier time with filter replacement in the future by following these steps:

1. Shut off the water flow.
2. Turn on the alkaline flow (as if water would come out). This releases pressure or suction in the line.
3. Replace the filters only now that the pressure has been released.
4. One other thing is the little electronic connector should be removed first, before removing the old filter. Then clip it into the new filter first, before inserting the filter and turning it into place in the filter port.
5. AlkaViva also recommends rubbing food grade lube like olive oil, coconut oil, or any other type of food grade lubricant on the o-rings on the unit where the filters go.
6. If you still have any difficulty, use a slight tilt back and forth while pulling up on filter.

Also, make sure to order your filters from us to make sure you get the right ones. I can't tell you how important it is to get the right replacement filters.
